A fresh take on go-to versatility, this board adds 3D shaping in the tip and tail for a ride that’s as smooth and buttery as it gets.
Burton dug into their full bag of tricks to develop the Burton Family Tree 3D Daily Driver Snowboard. The result of extensive rider collaboration and on-snow testing, it combines surfboard-inspired convex shaping in the tip and tail with a traditional base contour through the middle. The result is a blend of edge control and surfy freedom that translates to a catch-free and buttery tip and tail. The board rolls into turns with ease no matter which direction you are riding for a fluid feel in all snow conditions.
Features:
3D Shape: A 3D-contoured nose and tail in this directional shape work to provide catch-free performance for all-mountain turns and buttery fun.
Super Fly II 700g Core: Super Fly II 700G Core uses stronger and lighter wood to provide pop and strength while reducing overall weight
Directional Flex: The classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while providing plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
Fiberglass: 45° Carbon Highlights Fiberglass build optimizes each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine-tune torsional feel.
WFO Base: WFO Base infuses specially formulated wax deep into the pores of the extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material, making it ultradurable for riding all season in any condition.
The Channel®: The Channel Board Mount is designed to help dial in the perfect stance and is compatible with all major bindings.
10mm Taper: Taper provides a versatile ride that promotes free and easy turns, making this board perfect for riding in any condition.
Profile:
Directional Camber
Camber underfoot with a bit of rocker lift in the nose gives you the ultimate best of both worlds for a pow ready board that holds up in any condition.
This board bend has entry rocker that adds lift to the nose while a camber section under both feet maintains momentum and stability through deep-driving turns and variable conditions. This bend caters to those who like the attributes of traditional camber but want something that will get up to speed and float easier in pow.
Shape:
Directional
A smooth, reliable ride.
Directional shapes generally feature a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail. These shapes thrive in an all-mountain environment, as they possess the ability to ride more smoothly than their twin-tip counterparts and behave more reliably in variable snow conditions, anywhere from choppy snow to deeper powder. More twin-looking directional shapes where the difference between nose and tail appear minimal will perform best as crossover freestyle snowboards for those looking to still access the park, while more exaggerated differences will excel for additional float in deep powder.
Flex:
5 (Scale 1-10)
Versatility at its finest. From the park to the peak and anywhere in between.
Base:
Sintered
High-end base material that is harder, more durable, and faster than extruded bases.
