The design that redefined. 2 years ago, Yes came out with a significant redesign of the original PowderHull that only 5 years ago put a sizable dent in shred universe. Refined bottom contours have maintained the magical float that sets this board apart from everything else on the snow while improving the pop and landings off natural and man-made features. The eye-catching coreless tech has made these more complex shapes possible, while removing critical swing-weight from the board. And finally, MidBite has found its most effective home on twins so applying an aggressive version of this to the 20/20 has made what was once a specialty board into a truly versatile ride.

Features:
Weightless Core: The weightless core strikes a critical balance between lightweight and strength. Using a lower density species of Poplar in areas that are not as structural and Paulownia in the areas that are, we’re able to shave precious weight off our beloved 420 and now the 20/20. This helps a board not only float, but “feel” floaty.
PH Sintered True Base: Pellets or course powder is pressed until it forms a solid. True Sintered is harder and more expensive than extruded and it can be faster for those that ride aggressively fast. But to do that, it needs to be waxed and prepared for local conditions. Our “Sintered PH Spec” material is specifically chosen for unique flex qualities necessary for the PowderHull’s complex 3D surfacing.
Forever Flex: Forever Flex is a new manufacturing process that helps stabilize the flex and rocker profile of a board for it’s lifetime. Our boards now finish the first stages of production slightly overbuilt and then we “break them in” using specialized machinery that mimics extreme riding use. By flexing the fresh board fibers and epoxy at the factory the materials settle in to their final arrangement within the board layup much the same as if you rode the board for 20 days. This process helps us narrow our production tolerances so the board you buy has a more accurate specified flex and rocker profile that will change less.
Triax Fiberglass: Multi-axis, stitched fiberglass laminate that offers a precise and responsive ride in any terrain or snow conditions.
MidBite PowderHull: Adding even more float by giving the PowderHull or Coreless boards a MidBite radius gives that extra bite to the board when riding hardpack and allows for tighter turns on the groomers. Once in powder you are virtually unsinkable with the combination of the Hull and MidBite.
Profile:
Camber
Precision, control and pop.
The side profile of camber looks like a rainbow. Tried and true, camber has been the dominant board bend in the snowboard industry for almost 40 years. Adopted from the bend of alpine skis, camber snowboards deliver precise turning and edge control, with spring-loaded pop due to the bend in the board, providing better jumping characteristics. Advanced riders tend to prefer this bend, especially for hard carving and high-speed riding. Even when it comes to softer park snowboards, camber boards deliver exceptional pop and control.
3D Powderhull
The 3D Powder Hull starts with a base profile that combines 2 distinct rocker lines that, when blended together, create a pronounced base concave in the nose and tail. The centerline is fully rockered starting from the insert packs, all the way to the tips of the bluntly shaped nose and tail. Out at the contact edges is a more conventional base profile that we use on many of our other boards. The resultant concave across the nose and tail acts differently at the leading end of the board than it does at the trailing end when riding in deep snow. At the leading end (nose), the concave draws air under the board – just as a concave spoon-nose does on longboards in the surf – causing lift and floatation. As the snow moves across the base it releases off the tail and the exaggerated rocker line along the center, causes the tail to drop downward.
Shape:
True Twin
A completely symmetrical shape, which thrives in a variety of freestyle situations. At the core of its design, the twin shape features an identical nose and tail shape, which provides an identical feel and predictable maneuverability whether riding regular or switch. Although originally developed with park riders in mind, twin shapes have also grown to be embraced by many all-mountain riders that like to bring a skateboard style riding out of the park and onto the entire mountain.
Flex:
7 (Scale 1-10)
Versatility at its finest. From the park to the peak and anywhere in between.
Base:
Sintered
High-end base material that is harder, more durable, and faster than extruded bases.
